CrowdFunding Bounties

This new feature makes it easier than ever to collaborate on funding a Gitcoin bounty. One of our most requested features for Gitcoin is the ability to crowdfund a bounty. I am thrilled to say that that feature is live today! To check out this new feature, first navigate to any bounty on Gitcoin. Next, you will see a button titled ‘Add Contribution’

One of our most requested features for Gitcoin is the ability to crowdfund a bounty.

I am thrilled to say that that feature is live today!

To check out this new feature, first navigate to any bounty on Gitcoin. Next, you will see a button titled ‘Add Contribution’

When you click it, you will be presented with two options to contribute,

  • To contribute with funding.
  • To contribute with social capital.

If you choose ‘Option 1’, you will be presented with a page to deposit more tokens to further fund this bounty.

You may crowd-fund bounties in ETH or any ERC20 token, and when you do, gitcoinbot will comment on the Github Issue to let the world know about your contribution.

We hope you enjoy this new feature of Gitcoin. We are excited about the new use cases this feature will enable for collaboration in funding of bounties.

Gitcoin is On-Demand Many-to-Many Software Development!

You can now both crowdfund bounties and pay out bounties to many contributors. We are very excited about the emergent mesh network of jobs that is being built on this platform, and can’t wait to see you all try it!
