Ethereal Blocks x Bancor: Liquid Bounties

Ethereal Blocks, our latest hackathon quenching our end-of-summer thirst, is well underway. After starting last Wednesday, hundreds of hackers have flocked to Discord and the Issue Explorer to compete for the bounties we’re offering this go around. Ethereal Blocks, our latest hackathon quenching our end-of-summer thirst, is well underway. After starting last Wednesday, hundreds of hackers have flocked to Discord and the Issue Explorer to compete for the bounties we’re offering this go around. To celebrate the activity and action, we’re taking a look at a few of our incredible sponsors who will help Ethereal Blocks by funding prizes in ETH or ERC-20 tokens for the most impactful projects. This week’s sponsor, hosting two massive bounties, is Bancor, a liquidity solution for continuous on-chain liquidity between blockchain-based assets.

Bancor is joining an exaltation of other top tier projects with Ethereal Blocks, and we’re excited to see what the Gitcoin community can bring to their open invitations to build, improve, and extend their network. Their bounties focus on liquidity pools and automated token conversions. With the first bounty, the Bancor Foundation is encouraging contributors to build “Tools for users to track the ROI of every Bancor liquidity pool over time”, “Tools that optimize the profitability of Bancor liquidity pools”, and more. For the second bounty, the Bancor team is challenging “developers to build a better token conversion widget — one that interacts directly with the blockchain and can be easily integrated and customized by third-party developers to embed automated token conversions (and/or token creation) into their applications.”

Over $10,000 is up for grabs between their 2 bounties. The bounties are a part of Bancor’s efforts to kickstart more developers building on the Bancor Protocol. The core developer of the Bancor Protocol, LocalCoin, has previously developed key features including cross-chain support, a crypto wallet and permissionless liquidity pools. The Bancor Foundation is now expanding its deployment of capital, via the Bancor Grants Program, to engage and support a broader array of developers and startups building on the Bancor Protocol. Beyond its Ethereal Blocks bounties, initial grants will be awarded by the Bancor Foundation, while future grants will be voted on by BNT holders.

Get started today — the deadline to submit is September 11th!
